When I asked my students this week what they remembered the most from English class, many of the mentioned tongue twisters. Tongue twisters are an easy way to get students excited about learning new words and practicing pronunciation. During my first semester at SMANIKA, I used tongue twisters as a way to help my students quiet down at the beginning of class and to create structure in my lessons. All of them knew that when I walked into the classroom and started writing on the board, it was time to start focusing. We practice them word by word, together, and individually.
